  1. I can’t get enough wordpress plugins….I can’t keep up with all the latest releases and updates. It’s almost overwhelming.

  2. Wow. There are this many? I don’t get it… I twitter, but I don’t go to seed on it. (that pun might hit you in an hour or so)

  3. Great list im on twitter as Styletime and use some of these apps already, never seen easytweets though so off to check it now! Thanks

  4. Thanks everyone for your comments and for adding me on Twitter.
Its amazing how i got 85 friends in 9 hours, thats really cool :)

But i won’t tweet until i get 500 more to listen to my first tweet ;)

  5. Hiya,
    A few missing:
Spaz is another good Twitter AIR app.
TwitterSnooze allows you to easily turn on and off your friends. I.e. if you are you following someone who is micro-blogging a conf you don’t care about.
TwitterVision – I’m really suprised you missed this one. Totally fun and increases the addiction factor.

Then there are the series of tools that take Twitter feeds and mix them w/ other stuff like FriendFeed, dipity, etc.

Then there are the tools that allow you to post to Twitter AND to other status sites like Jaiku, plurk, facebook, etc. such as HelloText and Ping.fm

    Enjoy!

  6. Awesome resource.

I’d add TweetBurner (www.tweetburner.com), an awesome little Dutch service that creates tiny URL’s and lets you post them directly to your Twitter and FriendFeed accounts, then tracks click-through for the links. Kinda like a simplistic Google Analytics meets TinyURL.

  7. I just do not see the sense in Twitter at all. Whatever ever happened to phone, email, and writing letters? Twitter is totally useless fad which will disapear in 5 years unless bought out by EBAY and integrated into another community.

  8. Found some great tools here I hadn’t heard of before. Apparently, so did a heck of a lot of other folks! Good job!

  9. Just wanted to mention that Zemanta makes a free blogging add-on that recognizes your Twitter friends while you blog and that this might be interesting for any of your follow-up articles.

For live tracking of twitter, I built a web app (been around for a while now) called monitter. Monitter let’s you track multiple keywords in a live stream. Check it out here: http://monitter.com/

  12. Just joined twitter few minutes ago and was just wondering what could be done with it when I stumbled on this site.

  16. Being a Firefox fan, I was glad to see one of my Warrior Forum friends post a link to your Blog. Most of these tools I knew about {Power Twitter] being one of my faves.

Of late, I’ve been using Follower Wonk w/ Tweet Spinner with pretty sweet results. I’ll abide by your no-follow add the link request, but if you Google either of these terms, you will see how and why this combo works so well (or) ping my Social Media Marketing Plus Blog and view the video on it
