Long gone the days when you simply handed over a white piece of paper with your name and contact info on it to potential clients. Nowadays, who do you think clients will call first, the guy with his name on a sheet of paper or this other one with her name engraved in this colorful plastic wonder?
And what’s that? A little magnifying glass and a free sample of her product? This is too good to be true! She must be really good at her job! I mean, if this is only her business card, just imagine how great the quality of her work must be!
You get the idea, right? Whether you want it or not, image matters. If you want to keep up with the competition, you have to show that you’re a professional in every possible way.
This is good news to designers, since it’s yet another opportunity to come up with new creative ideas to present corporate identities or market themselves, and it’s also good news to everyone else, since having stylish, beautiful business cards is a great way to express your uniqueness and maybe even get an edge over the competition.

Great designs! I really like the one by “Viewzi”. It’s also been interesting to see how many people are also including their social profiles on their business cards now.
Had a client recently get her cards printed with her Twitter avatar on them, which later led to a chance encounter with one of her Twitter followers at a conference that was far away from home for both of them.

very creative designs. The paper they are printed on makes a difference. Normally I only did Silk Lamination but I printed some business cards on the new Velvet paper and my clients were blown away. Accelaprint offers this paper check them out for yourselves.

These are some really great, very creative business card designs. I really like the Business Card Design by Popcorn Initiative, Howl Fire, muriloVM and Taste Chocolate. I love the way they use laser cutting around the edges to add interest to the perimeter of the card.

Krakatua card is off course an awesome design, but I think it’s not practical, because normally people put the cards in their pockets. Putting this card will destroy the beauty of the card. However, most of the other cards are awesome and practical. Blue bird designs and all the card with black contrast impress me a lot.
