Bitten: 5 Free Icon Sets For Real Apple Lovers

Today we have some very special icon sets for some of you, the real Apple lovers. If we agree that sales numbers have a meaning, we can assume: Apple lovers are not a rare species. If you feel like one, too, you will like the following article. We have five icon sets totally dedicated to Apple’s looks and styles for you. All of them can be used freely, but not all of them can be used for commercial projects as well. But why should we care about these details? We are Apple lovers, aren’t we?

appicns

Appicns is a project by Kara and Andrew McCarthy. The icons come for a price, that is becoming more and more common these days. You pay with a tweet. After having tweeted about Appicns you can download all the nice symbols as a zip package.

Polestack

The Polestack icon set was created by Delta Nine, a user on deviantArt. The package contains three sets. The first set carries all the symbols in solid black while the second set contains icons styled in the looks of a good old chalkboard. The third set looks decent as well as it comes styled as if the symbols were made of wood. Each set offers the icons in the formats ICNS, PSD and PNG. All the icons are 512×512 px in size. Download and usage is free, but only for non-commercial purposes. Noone can hinder you from being inspired, though.

“That’s how you get them: Pay with a tweet”. This has to stop already!

Why should it? Because everything in the web has to be free as in free beer?

I rather pay for content then force people to “spam” in return for something. If your content is good enough people are probably already talking about it.

Those actions reminds me of all the “social” games on Facebook, Google+ and other platforms where you get those unwanted messages about stuff you don’t care about.

Okay. Thanks for your opinion. And thanks for the millions of different ones ;-)
