IT´S A WONDERFULL SCULPTURE MADE OF ICE. I´M AMAZED. IT´S INCREDIBLE HOW THAT CAN BE MADE IN WINTER AND DOESN´T MELT.

  17. Laminad on February 8th, 2010 at 7:07 pm

The one that you say is a deer i am pretty sure is an elk. The antlers come back to curved for a deer and the rack is too tall and thick for a deer. But otherwise amazing art work. That is real talent.

  18. lloorr11 on February 12th, 2010 at 8:21 pm

Totally awesome!!I am awe-struck! i wish i could’ve been there be-cuz i know pics can’t do these sculptures TRUE justice!

I made an ice sculpture once. It was a delicate abstract piece in the shape of a cube approximately 2 inches on a side.

Thank you for giving all of us a relaxing visual with total artstic taste!

Nice collection that includes many I hadn’t seen before. A few of these, at the World Ice Art Championships, I got to see in person. It’s hard to grasp how big they are from little pictures, especially the Harbin ice buildings.

  24. Trina on April 4th, 2010 at 3:44 pm

these are utterly amazing. did anyine else notice the picture of the sculpture of the london landmarks caught a rainbow on the left hand side? i thought that was a really neat addition to that particular scene

  25. joncesena on April 11th, 2010 at 4:55 pm

the deer sculpture is actually an elk. just so you know.

  26. Greenindeed on May 29th, 2010 at 10:21 am

If anyone noticed, that sculpture that is labeled as Neptune, it’s actually a sculpture of The Ghost of Christmas Present from Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol.

  27. Ian on December 17th, 2010 at 1:01 am

Hey that one that you said was the god of neptune? isnt. Its the ghost of christmas present form Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

  28. Dean on September 14th, 2011 at 2:22 pm

thank you for these pics, i carved two of these sculptures.

  29. Stephan A. Koch on December 14th, 2011 at 9:22 pm

Hey, nice of you to post these pics and further the art of ice sculpture. We truly do insane work. Like Dean, I also carved one of these pieces. I was one of four artists who carved the seahorses which stood 23′ tall and was carved over 6 days.

  30. Jennifer on December 16th, 2011 at 6:53 pm

The sculpture of the man being chased by the fish is from the Biblical story of Jonah. You can see “Jonah” inscribed on it’s pedestal.

So many fantastic sculptures. Thank you for posting!
