“Build An Incredible Login Form With jQuery” <– Not useful at all!

All it does is create yet another barrier between the user and where they want to go.

Just because you can’t find a way to integrate something into a design (such as a login box) doesn’t mean you should just make it popup with some jQuery – that’s not always a good solution!

@Noupe – Before linking to all these apparently awesome tuts could you have a read through the comments of them and try to ascertain if the webDev commuinity is actually going to appreciate it!?

Sometimes (not always) its important to add a login box in your front page layout to give the user ease of access to authenticated areas on the site but it just makes the page busy and noisy this is the case i would use such solution.

When i was designing Devsnippets, i was thinking of using a solution close to this to save some space on the page, but i changed my mind when i built an ajax solution of allowing the users to login and register without leaving the page.
It really depends on usability, the type of site, layout design and the importance of the login box.
