  • Thanks: Anders Norén Develops Picture-perfect and Free WordPress Themes

Sometimes, while rambling the web, you stumble upon real gems. That’s what just happened to me. It was by pure coincidence that I found the website of Anders Norén. Anders Norén, among other things, develops WordPress themes. These are not only mostly completely free, but also picture-perfect. You can grab them from WordPress.org. If you are into the WordPress theme universe, you already know that the majority of free themes is plain disappointing. They are designed and even more so coded in a half-assed attempt to get some short-dated attention. Others may be good, yet batter you with a plethora of mostly superfluous functions – the jack of all trades approach. Neither of these is Anders Norén’s take. He cares for great contemporary design, outstanding typography and clean code. This is reason enough to introduce you to his works…

In between summer and fall, one can easily get surprised while wearing a t-shirt outside. I chuckled quite a few times already. It is then when I like my office most. WordPress is just that kind of a convenient CMS that can get you up and running in no time. Probably that way I can catch up with all the work I have been negligent of. Wait, would I not be quicker if I took a ready-made theme to accelerate things? Lucky me, as Noupe continues with their monthly series of the freshest WordPress themes for self-hosted sites.

  • Game of WordPress: Set Your Eyes on Fire by Watching a 40 Hours Experts Show

I admit it. I can`t get enough of the “Game of Thrones” show, and as a late discoverer I had the joy to watch an entire season almost in one go. I couldn`t stop watching the epic wrestling for the iron throne and I pressed the stop button much later than it was healthy for my eyes and energy level at the next weekday’s morning. I learned something about dragons and deadly weapons, but this sadly didn`t help me when I straight ran into a problem with our WordPress installation, which cost me another two grey hairs. To avoid this I should possibly have watched an entirely different show…
